President and founder of BWS Logistics, Craig Allan boosts sustainable customer growth through veteran logistics talent, best-in-class technologies, and trusted industry partners. His talent for deep strategy and market analysis helps him stay ahead of trends and well-positioned for emerging opportunities. Under his leadership, the 3PL has driven revenue growth of 2,000% since starting in 2018—earning a reputation for efficiently solving even the most complex logistics challenges.
The high-stakes floor of the New York Stock Exchange is where Craig honed his analytical skills. Here, he thrived amid the speed and intensity at which conversations happen, decisions get made, and fortunes are won—or lost. When the recession provided a pause, Craig moved to the logistics industry as it offered the high-stakes velocity he loved and a way of life he preferred. Starting in track-and-trace, he quickly rose to analyst and then director-level positions.
In 2018, Craig correctly recognized that emerging technologies would soon disrupt the industry; he saw a mountain of opportunity if he brought together the right people with the right tech.
Equipped with the deep beverage logistics, cross-border transportation, and warehousing insights he acquired as director for a global freight forwarder, Craig opened the doors to BWS Logistics amid a down market. The 3PL initially serviced the beer, wine, and spirits space. When the pandemic turned the market upside-down, however, calls for drayage logistics, cross-docking services, and other support outside the company’s core niche came pouring in.
Knowing chaos presents opportunity, Craig navigated the uncertain market and delivered leadership, solutions, and exceptional service when others couldn’t. As a result, his company quickly grew from two people in 2020 to today’s 24 logistics professionals; a team known for getting things done against sizable odds.
Craig received his bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University. He also earned a graduate certificate in supply chain management from Penn State University and an MBA from Sacred Heart University.
